To make: Cut a 3 1/2-inch strip of cane slightly longer than the circumference of the wooden circle. Hot glue the bottom edge of the ribbon around the outside edge of the wood to make the sides of the basket. Thread twine through the rod (three or four lengths, evenly spaced) and secure with hot glue, leaving enough length to thread through the second basket, if desired. Hot glue the lengths of straight cane around the top and bottom of the basket. Tie string together at the top to hang.
To make: Hot glue manila string to the top three-quarters of a glass jar with a regular mouth. Wrap the wire of the mason jar pendant light kit with cotton twine and hold it in place with glue. Thread the light kit onto the jar and hang.

Carve a small rectangle about the width of the hammer near the ends of the long lengths to accommodate the short lengths. Glue the four pieces together and then onto the frame. For a 5- to 7-inch frame, cut the handles to 7 inches and 9 inches.
