The issue at this price point begs the question: Is a 360-degree camera worth the extra cost? Let’s take a look, but first, let’s get out of the way what gives it significant value as a safety feature.

The Nissan is a significant exception to the $35,000 rule. It’s leading the charge in the democratization of 360-degree cameras with models priced below $35,000, offering the feature.

Nissan offers its Intelligent Around View Monitor in each of its crossovers, starting with the 2022 Nissan Kicks. It’s standard on the Kicks SR, which is priced at $22,340.
But other Nissan Models hit the higher $30K+ mark. The all-electric Leaf SV with the Technology Package makes it $30,290. Even the Altima Platinum has it for $34,350. Additionally, the Nissan Rogue Sport SL ($30,710) and the Rogue SL ($32 , 400) also include the 360-camera feature and the price tag to match.
As for Toyota’s offerings, it’s not available on the Toyota Corolla or CH-R. However, the t is available on the Venza, RAV4, and some other higher grades like the Highlander, Tacoma, Sienna, Tundra, and Avalon. Toyota’s most affordable models with its Birds-Eye-View Camera are the Tacoma TRD Sport ($33,610) and the RAV4 Limited with the Advanced Tech Package ($37,575).
You can also get a Hyundai Sonata Limited ($34,250), a Mazda CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus ($34,400), or a Mitsubishi Outlander SE ($28,845) to stay under $35,000.

Even if properly installed, the big “but” is that an aftermarket system is unlikely to perform as well as a factory-installed one. Factory systems benefit from engineers adjusting cameras and camera locations to a specific model. A one-size-fits-all aftermarket system can’t do that.
There are many aftermarket 360-degree camera kits for sale. Usually, they come with four cameras, the necessary cables, and a control box. Some kits may also have a display screen or remote control.
Prices run the gamut from $200 to $900, and that’s just for the kit. Having a third-party install your equipment can easily add another $300 to $500 to the total.
