One of the states requires the actual product to be consumed on your own property! And while tough economic times may tempt you to try your hand at setting up a landing station in the Appalachians or the Smoky Mountains, it’s a lot easier to hit the local liquor store.

The most important ingredient in any moonshine recipe is always cleanliness. It is extremely important to start with clean cooking utensils, especially a 32 oz mason jar. Either boil the jar or run it through the dishwasher to make sure it’s completely clean and sterilized.

Another important factor is the type of cucumber used. In the case of pickles, of course, you can think that all cucumbers are the same. However, this is simply wrong.

Although you can use regular English pickles or hot pickles, they won’t give the best results.

For best results, you’ll want to choose a short, thin-skinned cucumber that’s ideal for making crunchy pickles. We would recommend a variety called Boston Pickling. This cucumber variety dates back to the 1800s and grows three to six inches tall.

Once you get the cucumbers, it is important to cut off the flowering end of the cucumber. If you look at a cucumber, you’ll notice a bit of a stem. The flowering end becomes the end WITHOUT a stem. However, if you are unsure, you can simply cut off both ends.

If you are using a typical large cucumber, such as the English or Hot House variety, the first step is to peel the cucumber and then cut it into small slices. However, if you are using a smaller variety, you can cut the cucumber into long, thin slices that are perfect for putting on sandwiches or burgers.

The next most important ingredient is obviously your moonshine. To make good quality moonshine, you need a good quality still.

Description : Learn to make moonshine today! This is the number 1 book for making moonshine today! If your ready to start making moonshine in no time this book is for you. Prohibition made its way onto the scene in 1920, known formally as the Volstead Act it made liquor in the United States of America illegal. This outlawing of alcohol changed the face of America. As it was outlawed, the people still had a taste for it and the moonshine industry exploded from then until 1933. In no time gangsters had monopolized the industry. Large moonshining networks began to blossom and transport of the substance would start in the southern hills. Much of the industry was based in the south. The blue ridge mountain territory consisting of Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and South Carolina, was where most of the production was concentrated. As Prohibition movements increased, so did the demand for the supply of moonshine to the people. Cities like Chicago and Atlanta saw explosions in demand. The government could see that their tactics were not working, so they repelled the Volstead Act in 1933. Though alcohol consumption was not outlawed any longer, moonshining continued to flourish well into the 30's and 40's. From this grew famous bootleggers of the time like Al Capone and Jay Gatsby, a fictional character created by Scott's Fitzgerald during the prohibition era. Today many people are brewing up moonshine, legally and some still are doing it the old fashioned way under the cover of darkness. In this book you will find history, fun facts, and recipes concerning the creation of your favorite moonshine recipes....
