Slim High Chair
The Graco Slim Snacker Highchair is a basic, wallet-friendly highchair that does basic feeding chores without any bells or whistles. This chair has an affordable folding feature and a removable base. The seat has a removable cushion and a 5-point harness. We love that it can be folded up and stored in a closet or pantry, and parents love the wipe clean features. This chair has more areas where food can get trapped than many of its competitors, making it more challenging to clean. The process of removing the tray is also rigid and requires folding the chair. While this Graco isn’t perfect, we think it’s a contender for families on a budget who need a basic chair to get them through toddlerhood and aren’t looking for a long-term solution or wooden option.

When one partner left the company, the remaining owner shifted the business to baby clothes and hired an engineer to help with design. Graco’s first baby gear was a swing, inspired by the common outdoor accessories of the time. Seemingly overnight, Graco has become a leading manufacturer of baby accessories, offering strollers, high chairs, car seats and more.

Slim Snacker is a mixed bag in terms of ease of use. Some of the features are easy enough, like folding the chair for storage and a hammock for essentials you might need for entertainment or help with feeding. However, other things are a bit more challenging.
Greco’s nest buckle style is more complicated and takes longer to assemble than some simpler competitors.
The 5 straps of the harness need to be attached, which makes the process longer and can be more difficult if your child squirms. The tray is also a little stiff and harder to get on and off the chair than some competitors. We like the reclining feature, which is easy to use with a handle on the back of the seat (right).
While this Graco can be folded in half, it’s still not narrow enough for some parts, and you’ll need to remove the base when you fold it.
The Best High Chair
The back of the Slim Snacker can be tilted back slightly for smaller babies who may not be able to sit upright on their own.
Nothing is terrible or unreasonably difficult, but it’s not as simple as some of the other competitors we’ve tested. The chair stands folded on itself (top left), but you must remove the base when folded. What do we do with this tray? You have to store it somewhere other than with the chair, which is a shame.
The seat cushion on this Graco has a wipe function for cleaning, and we think it would be more user-friendly if the machine could do the job.
Unfortunately, this Graco has a seat fabric that is not machine washable and can only be cleaned with a damp cloth. The seat cushion can be washed in cold water on a delicate basis, but must be tumble dried, which takes time and may lead to a lack of cushioning during certain feedings. Cleaning the chair is mostly a matter of wiping with a damp cloth, and there are many places where food and debris can hide or get trapped. The chair is not easy to remove for cleaning, but the most important open surfaces can be quickly wiped with soap and water. In general, it pales in comparison to other chairs with washable covers or less dinettes.

The Graco chair resembles the quality you’d expect from a budget brand. Although the quality is adequate, it struggles to compete alongside most high-end rivals. It’s probably good enough to see you through the toddler years, and we think it could last more than one child, but we suspect it won’t hold up to the same style or functionality as a new chair or someone more comfortable. competition in this review. Things like a hard tray can be stiffer, and an unwashed fabric can be too rough to use.
The Slim Snacker is intuitive to assemble, which is a good thing because none of the parts are labeled and the instructions are just that, in our opinion.
Everything about this chair connects easily and is quite intuitive. However, nothing is marked down and the instructions are low compared to some competitions. We think most parents will be fine, but the lack of labeling is frustrating.
Folding the Graco is easy and can be done with one hand by pulling the seat handle.

Although this chair quickly folds down into a relatively slim semi-standing chair for storage, it is quite huge and takes up a significant amount of floor space when unfolded. It measures 35″L x 21″W x 41″H when open, and when closed, the larger base and legs prevent it from fitting into anything really narrow. Also, remember to remove the tray before folding and storing, meaning a separate space for the tray if you plan to Hide a chair regularly in a closet or pantry.
