You can make DIY projects at home (at night, on the weekend, whatever you have time for) and sell them for a profit!
Pallet Wood Projects That Sell
The best part about making crafts for profit is that the time from idea to production and sale is very fast.
I thought it would be a good exercise to find a variety of popular crafts that you can make and resell. Just to gather some ideas.
I love the fact that you can do something in your spare time (during nap time, while the kids play, etc.), have fun doing it, and make a financial profit out of it!
Before I continue, I want to mention something. A lot of people have been asking me lately where you should try to sell your crafts online.
Cricut Projects To Sell: 110+ Of The Best Cricut Ideas To Sell For Profit
I’ll write a post about it, but in the meantime, I just want to put this out there: There’s no better place to sell your crafts than a combination of local Facebook OR Etsy groups + your own website.
Without a doubt, the first thing I would do if I wanted to sell crafts online is set up a store on my blog.
With a blog, you can post your images and sales pages to all kinds of platforms, including Facebook and Pinterest.
There are millions of people who buy handmade items, and if you have your own blog, you can. You can even check out the rankings on Google for the trade of your choice; that’s how I get so much traffic to my own e-products (like the blog starter pitch you see here) and sell them like crazy every month. The principle is the same for physical products.
Easy Things To Make And Sell Online For Extra Money
Here are some unique ideas I found in the blogosphere to get your creativity flowing! These range from simple DIY crafts to larger handmade projects.
I’m a fan of all the cute decorations I find at flea markets and fairs, and I love supporting other crafters, so if you think of an idea and it looks amazing, I say go for it! You never know who might buy it. π

These really easy project ideas include DIY gifts like frames and home decor. Any of these crafts would be great to start with!

This lady made these letters in her spare time after work and on weekends and sold them like hot cakes!

A friend once gave me a set of homemade cards for my birthday: it included various thank you notes, birthday cards, Valentine cards, etc. I thought it was the best and most helpful ever!
So handmade cards are generally good DIY gift ideas, as well as something people are willing to pay good money for!
At least I think that’s what it’s for! I was SO TEMPTED to buy these because I love the 4th of July and these would look great on my front porch!

Crafts You Can Make And Sell In 2023 {for Extra Cash This Month}
I shopped at this event at the end of April, right before Teacher Appreciation Week (which is early May) and grabbed ONE FOR EACH of the teachers in my kids’ classroom.
I think they are a great best seller for craft fairs because you can tailor them to your audience.
I found them in a gift shop in North Carolina, which explains why there is a lighthouse roller coaster. There are many options here, and you can create the particular variety that people want in your location, using photos of local landmarks or even maps for images.
These DIY mugs follow the same lines as the t-shirts. You can make them to suit your audience.
Cute Crafts To Make With Felt Scraps
These would be perfect in a state with a military base nearby. I also saw “mother dog” mugs, which were cute.
You can also base unique designs on area universities (without getting in the way of trademark symbols, of course).
I actually bought these coasters…for $40 based on price! This set was a perfect fit for my new living room and I was happy to pay this amount to this craftsman because his art was so beautiful.
I find that most resin projects sell for more than an equivalent item, due to their beauty and uniqueness.

This weekend I went out to a small town nearby and came across this cute shop that allows individual vendors to set up booths and sell their crafty creations. There were a lot of customers coming in and out of this place, and I left with something myself.
I found four of the cutest letter crafts there, as you can see in the collage below: a metal button letter, a wooden letter A, the alphabet with a child’s name highlighted and written below (“E ” was purple, not shown in the picture below), and leather letters decorated with buttons and mossy musical notes.
Yarn Crafts That’ll Blow Your Mind
I can’t get enough of these glass stone magnets! You can make them in any design you like, even specific to a party or occasion. This is an especially hot craft idea if you live in a vacation destination or can please enthusiasts. For example, I LOVE LOVE LOVE any map theme, and if you sold a set of map magnets, I’d buy it in a second!
If you can’t see the price of these, they were sold as a set of three for $5.00 or $1.75 each. They couldn’t cost more than 25 cents to make! Talk about big profit margins!
I think these mason jars are just the cutest thing. You can easily get the supplies needed to make these on Amazon. I like those blue jars with the darker lids or the chrome lids. I also love these unique blue owls. They are adorable!!
