I was also interested in purchasing accessories such as shelves, hooks and baskets, but it wasn’t until I got the storage home and put it in that I went shopping for accessories to find that there were zero matching accessories for this storage. It failed because the shelves were supposed to help with organization. At this point I didn’t want to take it apart and give it away so I kept it and cut the wood to make my shelves. It’s annoying because when you look at the barn, accessories are listed as recommended items, but this is very misleading.

I just bought this storage unit – took less than half an hour to put together (2 sets of hands required) – since Rubbermaid doesn’t include shelves and Home Depot doesn’t offer them either, I found someone else who sold the same unit and shelves. The shelves were manufactured by this company – plywood cut to the required size. Not a cheap option and I had to wait until I got the cabinet as the instructions specified the dimensions of the optional shelves – my home depot would have cut them for me. Note that the shelves can’t be wider than 9″1/4″ – however, these 4 shelves do the job of storing everything I want. Great alcove storage unit on my porch.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Joseph from Terrible customer service I wasted hours and hours of my life getting this shed. It was very delayed and I had to wait on hold for hours, days!! I have made a few online purchases at Home Depot but never again. Customer service is garbage. They are so rude, condescending and unhelpful. The time I spoke to them was the only time I got someone qualified and courteous to do my job. I was even told the manager would call me back and of course that never happened!! Even the automated system says (after waiting 45 minutes) you can press 1 to call back… which I did twice and never got a call back! If it wasn’t a gift from someone who already knew about it, I would have given it a long time ago! not worth it.

The left side panel is bent due to sun/heat and has developed a crack on the left side. As a result, the left door does not close properly. Every time the wind gets over 25km/h the door will open. Not good in rain or snow. Very very disappointed with this product. The warranty is no longer valid as the warranty is only one year. I do not recommend this product. I will be selling this thing in the spring 2023 on Facebook Market You just have to survive the winter!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda from Strong, looks good and holds all of its vertical tools. I bought 2 of these Rubbermaid sheds: one for tools in my garage and one by my hot tub to pump out the tub. They look great, will hold the lock and hold all my tools. I was so glad I bought the 3 small lower canopies for the deck cushions and to store the pressure washer in the winter. I recommend them and found them easy to put together with 2 helpers: one to hold and one to squeeze together. A rubber mallet is needed to help the parts join together. I think this product will last a long time. The exterior is easy to clean with a damp cloth.

In addition, it was easy to assemble, and if necessary, we could quickly disassemble it and assemble it elsewhere. I use it as a deck box. We have it on the deck in the corner, partially covered by the side wall of the house. Otherwise, since it is a tall structure, it may not withstand the wind in a free state. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

I have a similar unit. I don’t know how comfortable you are with making shelves, so I guess you’re not an expert like me. You need to buy wood. I would recommend 3/4 inch plywood, maybe a foot wide. Cut it to the length needed to fit your appliance, or ask Home Depot to cut it for you. Then screw it to the sides of the shelf. Drill several holes slightly smaller than the screws through the wood. Make sure the screws are long enough to secure them to the unit.
Is this canopy waterproof? I’m looking for a shed with shelves to put next to the pool to store some towels, extra swimwear, etc. I don’t want something that water and bugs can get into.
It does not say that the canopy is waterproof, but it does say that the canopy is resistant to leaks, dents and weather damage.
