Master In Renewable Energy Usa – The internationally recognized Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) is awarded to candidates selected from numerous REI approved courses, including the accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award.
The GMC can be obtained by successfully completing the exam in the virtual classroom or online at the end of the course (photo ID required for the exam – passport, driving license, national ID card etc.).
The training leading to the Galileo Master Certificate is based on the European project EMTEU (Energy Management Technician in Europe).
REI is one of the main suppliers of GMC. The Institute also collaborates with the United Nations (UNEP) and leading universities to disseminate knowledge and skills, including:
– Glasgow Caledonian University – Heriot-Watt University – Polytechnic University of Milan – Polytechnic University of Turin – University of Padua – University of Rome La Sapienza .. and many others
GMC has become an official award for renewable energy and a clear step towards building a career in the renewable energy industry. The GMC also qualifies participants for specialist certificates issued by the Galileo project. Information about the renewable energy courses and exams we offer for the Galileo Master Certificate can be found here.
The Customer Renewable Energy Institute has been awarding the Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) to successful participants for almost 40 years. During this time, the Galileo Master certificate has built a solid reputation as a leading award in the renewable energy sector. Participants receiving the Galileo Master certificate include employees and representatives of major international organizations including Siemens, Energy Savings Trust, National Grid, Nokia, WindEurope, United Nations UNEP, United States Department of Energy, Rolls-Royce Power Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers and many others.

The courses of the Renewable Energy Institute are based on the large European funded project EMTEU: Energy Management Technology in Europe. The European project EMTEU, which we have carried out together with our European partners, aims to provide professionals and technicians working in the renewable energy sector with the knowledge and training necessary to become quality experts. The Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) is awarded after passing the GMC exam, followed by a wide selection of training courses in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Quality Assessment Committee The Galileo Master Certificate exam papers are collected and reviewed by authorities and quality reviewers such as university professors and experts with 40 years of theoretical and practical experience; and independently verified prior to awarding the certificate. The exams and courses themselves are rigorously reviewed by REI’s EMTEU committee to ensure they meet a consistent standard of knowledge expected in the industry.
Award participants can choose to present the certificate during a ceremony at one of the European conferences hosted by the United Nations (UNEP) and the Renewable Energy Institute, which brings together leading international universities, organizations and associations.
Qualifications The Institute for Renewable Energy has been approved to offer additional qualifications in the field of photovoltaics recognized by SQA. This accreditation was chosen by REI to develop its position as an independent body that awards all internationally recognized Galileo Master Certificates (GMCs) to successful participants of the qualified GMC exam. The SQA qualification was chosen in accordance with the Renewable Energy Institute’s mission to promote best practices in renewable energy and energy efficiency through training and conferences with the United Nations Environment Program.
The Renewable Energy Institute collaborates with industry experts and university professors to offer an accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award (18-month course – available worldwide on request and in virtual classrooms) that promotes continuous learning and achievement in the industry of renewable energies.

At the United States Conference of Mayors in Miami Beach, leaders of more than 250 cities unanimously passed a resolution to meet the clean energy goals.

A bipartisan group of mayors from across the country unanimously approved an ambitious commitment for U.S. cities to fully utilize renewable resources such as wind and solar by 2035.
At the close of the US Mayors’ Conference in Miami Beach on Monday, more than 250 city leaders voted to symbolic resolutions to reject Donald Trump on climate change and immigration.
Steve Benjamin, the Democratic mayor of Columbia, South Carolina, presented the proposal along with three other mayors. Mayors have long been at the forefront of climate and energy issues, he said, adding that the president’s actions have sparked excitement among mayors and citizens who want to do more.
The clean energy resolution is one of several measures that will be sent to Congress and the White House in hopes of influencing government legislation to get the United States out of the Paris climate agreement. It was proposed by Democratic mayors in Republican-dominated states: South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Iowa.
Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine was another leader of the effort after being in the spotlight for his actions to combat rising sea levels.
A May study by the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions found that 47 cities spend about $ 1.2 billion annually on electricity to manage cities. The mayors of the conference expressed strong support for the fight against climate change, especially after the Trump administration withdrew from the Paris climate agreement last month.
“I think most mayors in America don’t think we should wait for a president whose faith in climate change is separate from science,” New Orleans mayor and new conference president Mitch Landrieu said at the start of the conference.
“There is almost unanimity in this conference that climate change is real and that people are contributing to it. There may be some disagreement on how to actually address it.
“If the federal government refuses to act or becomes paralyzed, the cities themselves, through their mayors, will create new national policies by combining our individual efforts.” Technological innovation, cost efficiency and growing consumer demand are. Make renewable energy sources, especially wind and solar, your preferred energy sources. Let’s look at seven trends driving this change.
Renewable energy, which has only recently been recognized as a “mainstream” energy source, is fast becoming a priority. A powerful combination of clear trends and demand trends in many developed and developing countries around the world is helping solar and wind energy compete and win from conventional resources.
The first factor is that renewable energy sources achieve parity in price and performance on the grid and outlet. Secondly, solar and wind power can help balance the grid in a cost-effective way. Third, new technologies improve the competitive advantage of wind and solar energy.
The demands of energy consumers are largely converging around three goals, with the first three trends enabling renewables to excel.
