All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to take immediate corrective action. The exposed corner is supported by a 1×2″ vertical spacer at the back corner. Because each shelf is miter, each shelf is fully supported by a central support.

The open corner meant I had to find a way to support the center shelf. It wasn’t really difficult because I added a 1×2″ vertical to the back corner of each shelf. But that meant I had to build the shelf one shelf at a time and slot the shelves in. Not adjustable.

If you are looking for a simple way to build corner bookshelves, just make a box in the corner. With this approach, you can make two separate shelves, push them together at an angle, and snap them together.

In the open corner, I painted the back wall of the shelf to match instead of attaching any back pieces.

Smart And Stylish Ways To Decorate Empty Corners

The first step is to make the top and bottom boxes and cut the side pieces. These are the basic structure of the corner bookshelf.

After you make the boxes, place the bottom box like the main cabinet. Be sure to sit on the ground with the bottles. Make sure the corner is as square as possible. And fasten it with few screws.

With the box on the bottom, install the side pieces to fit as closely as possible. You can cover small gaps with trim later in construction. Attach the sides to the bottom box with screws from the inside, making sure they don’t go all the way through.

When placing the bottom and sides, place the top box at the same level and attach it to the side parts with screws and to the wall studs with screws and plates. Double check everything to make sure it’s square and square (or very close).

After installing the main structure, you can install each shelf one layer at a time. Although each successive layer is almost identical, I fitted each shelf as I went and marked them clearly. This allows you to accommodate small differences in width from bottom to top.

I used vertical spacers at each end and center of the shelves. As the shelves are folded, the corner of each side piece rests on the central vertical support. If the front of the plywood shelf is cut with a thick and stiff piece, the shelf is very stable. I’m a little worried about the shelves loosening up over time, but I know that worst case scenario I can easily add what I need to fix the problem.

Whenever possible, I like to paint individual components before installing them. I was able to paint parts of the table much easier than expected and it was easy to paint everything after it was built and installed. Of course, you still have to do some work
