Well, as we all know there are only four houses in Hogwarts, so in this dorm I ran out of houses by theme. I thought about making this bedroom ‘Dumbledore’s Office’, but due to time and budget issues, I ended up keeping it simple and adding a screen wallpaper accent wall, chairs and most importantly. As this bedroom is on the first floor, the flooring has been updated along with the entire first floor. I’m still so in love with this floor that I’m mostly just going through the living room tour, so I’ll spare you. After that, the only big changes involved replacing the ceiling fan (because I knew there would be a bunk bed in here), painting, and adding a wall of wallpaper.

The dragon does have a name because Nova already called him “Mr. Dragon” and asked me for his own dragon which I got for Christmas. 🙂 This is a very small bedroom, so apart from the bunk bed, the only other piece of furniture in the room is a small wicker table.
Wallpaper is peel and stick, which is great if you’re looking for something temporary. I’m going to keep this background as long as it looks good, but I always like to know that it will be easy to remove one day when needed. Points: 1/2/3/4/5

One of my favorites looks like the Marauder’s Map, the map mentioned in the series that can track down any ghost I/O person in the Hogwarts building, it has a sophisticated, almost vintage feel with HP’s great stylish touch. Plus, its neutral palette goes with any decor, even if you’re not comfortable with Pottery Barn’s Harry Potter bedding and decor.
If that’s too understated for your taste, you can always go for a more dramatic twist with a black and white graphic background that resembles the front pages of the series’ fictional newspaper.
Indeed, there are options for those who want to incorporate a part of the fantasy world into their home decor, and for those who want to decorate every room with Harry Potter.
