We truly believe in our business model of personally designed and handcrafted furniture, not to mention having it delivered to your home and professionally installed by one of our Wood You Build It representatives! This is unheard of in this day and age as so many pieces of furniture are now mass produced overseas and then delivered to your door in a box with assembly instructions.***

We are honored to offer this custom kitchen island as an everyday shopping model! There are over 10,000 variations to choose from, including but not limited to scraps, cabinets, drawers, casters and optional seat overhangs to name a few.
Do It Yourself Butcher Block Kitchen Countertop
We also use premium 1.5” thick teak tops that are sealed and conditioned before shipping. These tops are low maintenance and built to last. Upon delivery, our driver will provide you with a cheat sheet for the use and care of the premium teak countertops for these kitchen islands. We’ll also give you a free bottle of conditioner to use for the next time you need to reapply. Who does that?!
~Color is important! We work closely with Benjamin Moore Paints and can offer you our daily picks or you can have your own paint color (+$75).
~Options outside the perimeter; currently the image frame perimeter is the only option. Shiplap would be an additional option, but shiplap is harder to come by than the actual lumber (yes, there really is a shortage of wood!)
~Standard depth WITHOUT overhang is 25″. Depth WITH seating overhang is 36″. Be sure to select the correct one at checkout.

NOTE: As of 7/17/22, we are now offering the option of a dual trash drawer as a top without full height drawers. This allows full height bins inside without blocking the drawer. Some of the current photos don’t show it. After we update the images, we will replace the existing images with them.
~Each unit is custom made to your specifications and design so you can be sure to get exactly what you are looking for! It’s also carefully crafted by one of Wood You Build It’s craftsmen, as opposed to using robotic machines.
1) Select from the drop down menu the specific depth and style you are looking for. It’s about whether you have seat clearance or no seat clearance.
*There are 4 main design styles; 2 cabinets without drawers and 1 tilting waste (as shown in picture #6)…..3 cabinets with 3 drawers (as shown in pictures #4/5)…..2 cabinets 2 drawers and one slide (as shown in pictures #2/3)…..2 cabinets 3 drawers and 1 double trash slide out (as shown in pictures #1, 7, 8)…This last option has been removed from production as we now only offer 2 drawers rather than 3 for this style.

One of our greatest features is that these units come fully assembled and ready to go! It’s totally different from other big box stores that leave it at the door in a box and then you have to read the assembly instruction book to put it together! The trade-off is that yours will be fully assembled and personally delivered with setup, there may be an additional charge depending on your geographic location.

We now do PERSONAL DELIVERY nationwide! Yes, what you read is correct! Finding reliable shippers is rare. We know this is a big investment and understand that the best way to take care of these products is to do it ourselves. Our dedicated team of dedicated delivery drivers are specially trained to safely deliver and care for your product. Our prices are calculated only to cover our costs incurred in loading the truck and making these trips which explains the price structure. To put this into perspective, these prices are essentially half of what the big name couriers charge. Please note that shipping from the West Coast is not as common as in a neighboring state, so delivery times may vary accordingly. Deliveries originate in Massachusetts.
